Encountering God in the Every Day: A Retreat to Inspire Women to Grow in their Relationship with God
St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church
Saturday, March 8th
9 AM – 3 PM
Join us for a day of renewal, refreshment and fellowship as we focus on how conversations with God can become a normal part of life. Based on excerpts from the book “Learning to Hear God,” by Jan Johnson. Through messages from our keynote speakers and small group discussions, we will consider how God speaks to us in the mundane and simple times of our lives. Urban Abbey United Methodist Church will be on site with books, journals, and other Christian materials available for purchase. Please join us to sing, share and reflect on all of God’s loving messages in our lives.
Our keynote speakers are:
-
Rev. Chris Jorgensen, Lead Pastor of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Omaha, NE and our digital campus All Saints Online
-
Kathy Williams, Director of Congregational Excellence for the UMC Great Plains Conference
-
Lori Gottula, author of Broken and Chained: My First Thirty Days in the Hell Called Detox
Please extend invitations to sisters, moms, aunts, nieces, friends and neighbors to join in this day of respite, refreshment and fellowship. The cost is $30 per person, which includes all materials, snacks and lunch.
