2026 Confirmation Requirements

To be confirmed at St. Andrew’s, students must complete the following requirements:

• Confirmation Class is for any student in 8^th through 12^th grade
• Pay $20 for supplies and events upon registration
• Attend weekly class sessions 3:00-4:30 pm, Sundays, January 11-April 12
  • February 15 will be a potential makeup class, depending on whether we have had to cancel class due to weather up to that point. If no class has been cancelled before this date, we will not have class on February 15.
  • Students cannot miss more than 3 classes
  • Complete required homework
• Attend the following extra events (These dates are tentative.  We will communicate any changes with as much notice as possible and alternative requirements will be given for students who can't attend)
  • Service Day - Saturday, February 14
  • Mosque/Synagogue Visit - Sunday, March 8, 12:30-3:15pm 
• Attend weekend worship services at least 4 times from January-April (in-person or online).  Students must check in online for attendance to count.
• Attend Youth Group at least 5 times from January-April
• Before Confirmation Sunday, each student will write a Personal Faith Statement expressing their growth in faith through the Confirmation process
• Mentors:
  • Each student will select an adult to be their Confirmation mentor.  Mentors can be family members, family friends, whoever will be a meaningful adult connection for the student.
  • Mentors will meet with students each week to further discuss the material being discussed in classes.  A discussion guide will be sent out to structure these meetings.
• Parent Requirements:
  • Attend Parent Meeting on January 11, 3:00-4:30 pm
  • Attend additional Parent class on January 25, 3:00-4:30 pm
