John Sievering

Associate Pastor

John Sievering is our Associate Pastor. He ensures all those connected with St. Andrew’s are cared for spiritually, emotionally, and mentally through support and prayer. Pastor John helps people to connect with God and one another through small groups, Bible studies, and pastoral care. Pastor John has worked in a ministry capacity since 2008. Prior to joining us at St. Andrew’s, he was the lead pastor at Benson Baptist Church in Omaha. Pastor John came onboard at St. Andrew’s in July, 2022.

He has a healthy curiosity for history, research, facts – really anything you can find in a good book – which is evident when we get to hear him preach! When John is not working, he enjoys reading and watching science fiction and fantasy. You can also catch him on the rugby field playing with the Lincoln Wolves. John feels that his most rewarding moments in ministry are “When I can see lights go on for people; when they learn to see God or their faith in a new way that leads them to greater freedom in Christ and service to their community."
